1) Create an account on the portal of the McGill University Health Centre Research Institute

2) Contact Aurelia Melloni (aurelia.melloni@rimuhc.ca) with me in cc in order for her to register your as a student at the MUHC-RI. You will need to fill certain documents and questions that she will have for you. Specifically, she will ask:
Supervisor authorization form (to be completed and signed) - forms in PDF below
Confidentiality agreement (to be completed and signed) - form in PDF below.
Copy of Medicare card (RAMQ) or proof of medical insurance
Copy of photo ID, if a Medicare card is not provided
If contact with patients or use of patient databases is listed in the description of tasks, please provide a valid professional order member number OR if they are a student, please provide proof of enrollment in a Canadian university
If foreign, copy of valid work/study permit
Date of birth
Phone number
3) Please make sure to go through the training under the MUHC-RI portal to obtain your SOP-1 (standard of practice in research). You will have to go in the menu under the TalenLMS training application, choose a language, and select the catalog to do the courses: introduction to RI-MUHC and SOP-1.
4) You need to do the: Research, Ethics, Compliance, and Safety Training from the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI Program). Specifically, you need to go over the RI-MUHC modules.
Register on the top right of the screen.
Select your organization
Please do the RI-MUHC and GCP modules. Some of you may also need: Health Canada Division 5 - Drugs For Clinical Trials.
5) If you do not have already a windows account - you will need to provide your ID on your MUHC-badge to Daniela (often XXZZ600A, where XX is the first 2 letters of your last name, ZZ is the first 2 letters of your first name and A is also a number). Please email Daniela: daniela.villegas.martinez@muhc.mcgill.ca with this information and specifically mentioning you need:
Windows account
Account with permission for access to the "NeoCardioLab folder" under the Global-Share drive.

6) Obtain a Nagano access in order to be added to the REB of the MUHC.
To obtain access - you need to send an email to: info.nagano@muhc.mcgill.ca - specifically you need to provide your username at the MUHC (often XXZZ600A, where XX is the first 2 letters of your last name, ZZ is the first 2 letters of your first name and A is also a number).
7) Do the mandatory learning modules

Go under the Password Protected Portal, in the Fellowship And Student portal
Do the learning modules under the folder "How to important modules" that are pertinent for your research project (we can discuss which one are or not pertinent).
Depending on your project you will also need training for: RedCap, Syngo, Tomtec and Statistics.
Optional - review some of the available workshops at the McGill Library.

8) Send your picture for the website - I will put you as a member of the team in the students section.
9) If you do not have a @mcgill.ca or @mail.mcgill.ca - you will need an affiliate McGill email. @affiliate.mcgill.ca
This will allow you to enter the McGill Redcap system: https://redcap.mcgill.ca/redcap/
For that, please let me know (Gabriel Altit) so that I request an affiliate account. I will then provide you with a REQ number that you will need to use to fill up the form for McGill about your contact information.

2. Poster Preparation Timeline
Start early. Posters must be submitted for co-author review at least one month before the conference.
Oral presentations (if applicable) should also be reviewed on the same timeline.
You will be asked to present your work at one of the NeoCardioLab meetings for feedback and practice.
3. Design Guidelines
