CDH 2026 Symposium - Leuven

April 12, 2026 — It is a pleasure to be part of the Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH) 2026 Symposium in Leuven, Belgium, bringing together an outstanding international community dedicated to advancing care and outcomes for infants with CDH. Grateful to the organizing committee and to Dr. Jan Deprest for this wonderful invitation and the opportunity to contribute to such a stimulating and collaborative meeting. I will be presenting on the role of echocardiography in CDH, with a focus on understanding evolving hemodynamic phenotypes, integrating physiology-driven assessment, and supporting targeted, precision care in this complex population. In addition, I am pleased to share two poster presentations on fetal and neonatal cardiac function in CDH, including work on speckle-tracking echocardiography and its relationship with outcomes. I will also be contributing a plenary short oral presentation, further exploring cardiac remodeling and its implications for prognosis and longitudinal follow-up in this population.

12 avril 2026 — C’est un plaisir de participer au Symposium 2026 sur la hernie diaphragmatique congénitale (CDH) à Leuven, en Belgique, qui réunit une communauté internationale exceptionnelle engagée à améliorer la prise en charge et les résultats des nourrissons atteints de CDH. Je suis reconnaissant envers le comité organisateur et le Dr Jan Deprest pour cette merveilleuse invitation et l’opportunité de contribuer à une rencontre aussi stimulante et collaborative. Je présenterai sur le rôle de l’échocardiographie dans la CDH, avec un accent sur la compréhension des phénotypes hémodynamiques évolutifs, l’intégration d’une évaluation guidée par la physiologie et le soutien à une prise en charge ciblée et personnalisée dans cette population complexe. Par ailleurs, je suis heureux de présenter deux affiches portant sur la fonction cardiaque fœtale et néonatale dans la CDH, incluant des travaux en échocardiographie de speckle-tracking et leurs liens avec les issues cliniques. Je contribuerai également à une communication orale courte en session plénière, explorant davantage le remodelage cardiaque et ses implications pour le pronostic et le suivi longitudinal dans cette population.
