Dr. Sarah Spenard is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Neonatology at McGill University and a Neonatologist at Montreal Children’s Hospital. After obtaining her medical degree at the University of Montreal, she completed her Pediatrics residency at Memorial University and at the University of Manitoba. She then completed her Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship at the University of Toronto and her formal training in Neonatal Hemodynamics/TNE at Western University. She also has a certificate in medical education and is currently completing a graduate diploma in clinical epidemiology at McMaster University. She is now a member of the neonatal hemodynamics team at the Montreal Children's Hospital and will be part of the NeoCardioLab team! Big welcome to Dr Spénard.

Dre Sarah Spénard est professeure adjointe de clinique en pédiatrie dans la Division de néonatologie à l’Université McGill et néonatologiste à l’Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme en médecine à l’Université de Montréal, elle a complété sa résidence en pédiatrie à l’Université Memorial et à l’Université du Manitoba. Elle a ensuite terminé sa formation en néonatologie à l’Université de Toronto, suivie d’une formation spécialisée en hémodynamie néonatale et échocardiographie ciblée (TNE) à l’Université Western. Elle détient également un certificat en pédagogie médicale et complète actuellement un diplôme d’études supérieures en épidémiologie clinique à l’Université McMaster. Elle rejoint maintenant l’équipe d’hémodynamie néonatale de l’Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants ainsi que l’équipe de NeoCardioLab! Un chaleureux bienvenue à la Dre Spénard!

Dr. Gabriel Altit is a neonatologist and clinician-scientist at McGill University and the Montreal Children’s Hospital. After completing medical school at McGill and training in pediatrics and neonatology at Université de Montréal, he pursued advanced training in targeted neonatal echocardiography (TnECHO) at McGill and a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University, alongside a Master’s in Epidemiology. He founded NeoCardioLab (www.neocardiolab.com), a global platform for neonatal hemodynamics education and innovation. His research focuses on neonatal cardiovascular physiology, cardiac POCUS, and advanced imaging, supported by CIHR, the American Thoracic Society, and other agencies. He directs McGill’s Royal College–accredited fellowship in neonatal hemodynamics and is Associate Professor of Pediatrics, a member of the Canadian Paediatric Society’s Fetus and Newborn Committee, and FASE certified.

Dr Gabriel Altit est néonatologiste et clinicien-chercheur à l’Université McGill et à l’Hôpital de Montréal pour enfants. Après avoir complété ses études de médecine à McGill, il a poursuivi sa formation en pédiatrie et en néonatologie à l’Université de Montréal, suivie d’une formation avancée en échocardiographie néonatale ciblée (TnECHO) à McGill et d’un stage postdoctoral à l’Université Stanford, parallèlement à une maîtrise en épidémiologie. Il a fondé NeoCardioLab (www.neocardiolab.com), une plateforme éducative reconnue mondialement en hémodynamie néonatale. Ses recherches portent sur la physiologie cardiovasculaire néonatale, l’échographie cardiaque ciblée et l’imagerie avancée, avec le soutien des IRSC, de l’American Thoracic Society et d’autres organismes. Il dirige le programme de fellowship en hémodynamie néonatale de McGill, seul programme accrédité par le Collège royal au Québec. Il est professeur agrégé de pédiatrie, membre du comité Fœtus et nouveau-né de la Société canadienne de pédiatrie, et certifié FASE.
